Guest Speakers
As venue manager, Elmarie Retief, our Organizing Committee Secretary, had the privilege of hearing all three talks and gave the following feedback:
Tanya was an entertaining guest speaker with her quirky sense of humour and she often had the audience in stitches with her responses to questions from the floor. Her interactive engagement with the audience was excellent and as always she had practical solutions and suggestions for everyday gardening problems ranging from moles to snails.
David was an excellent guest speaker and his visual slide presentations were well put together and informative. He managed to sketch the intricate planning that goes on behind the scenes for floral festivals and the need to always have a plan B in hand. He had a wonderful sense of humour and we enjoyed the journey with him through the many Chelsea flower shows and the festivals of the Far East. The latter presentation was so realistic that one felt as if you were experiencing it first hand from your seat!
